IFK Göteborg coach Stefan Rehn is looking for another 2-1 win at FC Basel 1893 after having won by that score on his last trip to St. Jakob-Park with Lausanne-Sports.

Happy memories
The 41-year-old coach spent five years in Switzerland during his days as a midfielder, and with his Göteborg side having been held to a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie by Basel, he hopes a past success with Lausanne will stand him in good stead. "Last time I was here was when I played for Lausanne – we won 2-1 and I'd be happy if we can repeat that," he said. "We're really looking forward to this. It's a great stadium, a tough opponent and a huge crowd. We'll stick to what we usually do as we believe in ourselves."

'No problem'
The Swedish champions fell behind to Benjamin Huggel's 26th-minute strike at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in the first leg but were level by half-time as Thomas Olsson found the target. A 1-1 draw was not a bad result but Rehn believes his side should have done better. "If you looked at our game last week, it was an even contest which I think we slightly edged," he said. "I think we might have to rely more on counterattacks tonight, but that's no problem."

Söder fizzing
Unbeaten in eight games in all competitions, with six wins and two draws, Göteborg are feeling buoyant, and Basel will do well to pay particularly close attention to striker Robin Söder. The 17-year-old is the man of the moment in Sweden, having scored in his last four league games for the club, as well as in the first qualifying round tie against San Marino's S.S. Murata. "This is great," he said as he pondered his trip to Basel. "It's what you strive for and I've got a good feeling about this. A really good feeling."

'The better side'
Winger Tobias Hysén's senses are tingling a little less dramatically, but he is no less determined to put in a good performance. "I think we were the better side last week but tonight is a different matter," he said. "We have to be smart and see what they try to do. Of course, it would be great if we could score early on and if we play at our normal level I know we can."
